Well, mine (if you want to use that as an example) has also added colour on the background (it's not transparent) and the shadow is detailed and not a smudge :P Yours on the other hand, like you yourself said, lacks even that "smudge"

2007-10-26 [Yncke]: I think that a nice frame or something similar could make a lot of difference as well, [fen]. It's the difference between a finished looking piece, and something that looks like it could come from a border line in a notebook.

Not that I am saying that a backgroundless drawing is by definition a notebook doodle, it's just a figure of speech to explain what I mean without having to fill three comment boxes. ;) I can clearly see a lot of effort has gone into the drawing, and I like your werelamb drawing. :)

2007-10-26 [Jitter]: I like the drawing too but compare it for example to [Mom]'s who has no bg but has a frame. [Mom]'s looks much more finished, like you said [Yncke] :)

and I agree...even a simple shadow or boarder can make a big difference between a finished pic and an "unfinished" pic.

O..O Yours, mine & some others didn't make it in this round. Don't let this discourage you, however, b/c it's not meant to. Contests are just meant to challenge one's creativity & the artist to have fun in doing so. I'm very happy with my piece. Winning or losing cannot change this. *huggles*
